For adults who want a discreet option, clear aligners are custom trays worn 20 to 22 hours a day, switching to a new set about every two weeks. They come out to eat and brush, so your routine stays the same. Treatment length depends on your needs, but aligner cases usually run between six and eighteen months.
If you’d rather not keep track of trays, clear braces are a strong alternative. The ceramic brackets reflect light like a natural tooth, and because they’re bonded in place, there’s nothing to take out. Traditional metal braces remain the workhorse for complex cases and are an option for anyone eligible for orthodontic treatment.
